not to stalk your page but i felt the same way actually. something about reducing your characters’ roles for the sake of FANSERVICE of all things really depletes the original source of love i’d shared towards them. i felt this way about vanitas too. at first, i was especially excited to see his reappearance in the trailers! but his character in this game felt so dwindled, like he was put there to be like “ha ha look he’s terrorizing the wayfinder trio again lmao just like old times” and even at the end of it all, his resolve was pretty much “fuck you i love being evil” when he’d had a genuine goal in bbs. idk, he just felt kinda pointless, like the game really could’ve written him out with little effect on… whatever the plot to kh3 had been. i will say on this note, however, i appreciated roxas and xion reuniting with lea. i wish it’d been a bit more personal though. actually, I feel this way about literally every reunion that happened in this game 💔
